2 Maine geezers! Steve ran into Tim Sample, Maine's #1 humorist and co-star of the Bert & I recordings, at the Boothbay Opera House in Maine. Tim was so excited to run into another famous Maine personality that he couldn't wait to have his picture taken with Steve.
This young fan is witty, intelligent, and an avid read. He'll zip through the FreeKs trilogy in a couple of days and will soon be writing his own books. I was signing books at the Sumter Landing show in The Villages, FL on Feb 19. This young man stopped by and was very excited (almost amazed) to see me. He told me that years ago when he was buying my books in New England, I had inspired him to follow his own dream of writing books (and he still has my older books by his side). He's got his first one coming out soon through Create Space (a course I teach, and a guidebook I've done). His name is Chris Leonard, and he posed for a picture. Steve ran into a group of RPI student at the Thanksgiving Turkey Trot 10K inn Troy NY. They all wanted to buy his books, but none of them had a wallet.
When these three said to wear a matching tee shirt, Steve thought they meant matching his banner behind him. This was at the Alfred, Maine Apple Festival on 9/24.

Denise and Caroline live in Wymantskill, NY, where Steve was the interim pastor at First Reformed Church 1992-93.
